I AM A feminist: I believe in equality for EVERY PERSON. Feminism is NOT the belief that women are superior, it is the belief that ALL are equal and should be treated equally. I am sickened by sexist representations: Overtly weak women who need male governance, overtly emotionless men who are rendered crippled and cruel by their masculinity
I AM A gay man: Being gay isn't something I decided to be, anymore than my brother decided to be heterosexual. Is it inborn? Is it genetic? Is it a result of early childhood experiences? I honestly don't know. Did I choose it? No. Would I change it. No.
I AM AN atheist: I don't believe in a deity nor do I wish to have other's deities thrust upon me, nor their belief systems. I don't care if this is a "Christian nation" I'm not a Christian, therefore should not be affected by Christian beliefs.
I am often amazed by the lack of critical thinking shown in paranormal circles. People are pointing to orbs (dust/water), streaks (moving things), double and prolonged exposures, and just outright fakes and shouting that they are proof of the paranormal.
I don't know if there is a life after death. I don't even know if there are ghosts. I just hate to see the discussion marred by such a lack of critical thinking.
